Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect information that you provide or generate while using My Pondo, including:

• Account information: email address and profile information such as your name.
• Financial records you enter: account names and types, balances, transactions, income and expense categories, budgets, goals, and recurring transactions.
• Preferences and settings: selected currency, locale/timezone-related settings, notification settings, and reminder preferences.
• App-generated records: in-app notifications and alert history used to provide budget, goal, and reminder functionality.

My Pondo does not require you to connect a bank account or payment card to use the core expense-tracking features described above. Information you manually enter should not include passwords, PINs, full card numbers, or other authentication secrets.

2. How we use information

• create and authenticate your My Pondo account;
• store and display your personal finance records;
• calculate balances, reports, budget usage, and goal progress;
• generate recurring transactions and user-requested reminders;
• maintain app security, reliability, and account integrity; and
• respond to account deletion or privacy requests.

3. Service providers

My Pondo uses Supabase for backend services including authentication, database storage, and server-side functions. Supabase processes data on behalf of My Pondo so the app can provide these services.

We do not sell your personal information. My Pondo does not use your personal financial records for advertising.

4. Notifications

If you enable reminders or alerts, My Pondo may schedule notifications on your Android device and may store notification-related settings or in-app notification records in the backend. You can manage notification settings from within the app and from Android system settings.

5. Data security

We use reasonable technical safeguards designed to protect user data. My Pondo uses authenticated access controls and database Row Level Security so signed-in users can access only data associated with their own account. Communications with backend services are sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

6. Data retention

We retain your My Pondo account data while your account remains active or as needed to provide the app. When you permanently delete your account, My Pondo deletes the active account data associated with that account and removes the authentication account.

Limited residual information may remain temporarily in infrastructure backups, security logs, or records that must be retained for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, legal, or operational reasons. Such information is not kept for ordinary app use after deletion.

7. Account and data deletion

You can permanently delete your account in the Android app:

Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account

You may also request deletion without the app by using our external account deletion page.

8. Your choices

You may update certain profile and preference information in the app, disable notifications, log out, or permanently delete your account. You may also contact us with privacy-related questions.

9. Children's privacy

My Pondo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly design the service to collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when My Pondo's features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material revisions are published.
